Those of you who really know me know my current pet project is getting up a resume/ portfolio/ marketing website for the last three months and now it's up!! Yay! I will start by saying that I have never, not ever taken a class or read a book that would teach me HTML, CSS, Java, Flash or anyother denomination or derivative of them to create something that actually functions on the internet. Addittionaly no one would classify me as the most technalogically advanced person out there so it is with no small sense of pride that I can say look (on the interweb) at ArielBrittanyBaker.com, I did that. It may be the first thing I've ever tried to create in my entire artistic career that came out almost exactly as I was picturing it. I will admit (to myself mostly) that the cause of that may be a limited imagination when it comes to webpage layout, but right now I don't care. It's a sad sad day when you have to be thankful that you forced the knowledge equivalent of shredded wheat into your head by memorizing CSS short codes and attributes. I taught myself website coding from the internet and colaged that together with my five year old knowledge of Creative Suite and I love it the finished product. So visit, click every link everywhere (including this one) and enjoy. Thanks for reading, visiting and everything else.

I have been considering kisses. Not just any kisses but the kind someone gives you that tells you how they are in bed and who they are out of it. The kind that curl your toes and give you shivers. That sort of kiss isn't just about romance and happily-ever-whenever, it's about being sexy and making the other person feel how sexy you think they are. It'll vibrate inside you like you're a tuning fork that someone hit just right, cause they did. Kisses are currently on my mind because I realized that they are what is missing from most "grownup" relationships.
In the beginning, before the bills, before the kids and the stress, when having a date to the dance or wearing trendy clothes were the primary concerns, the cornerstone of romantic relationships was a meeting of the lips. Not minds and not...anything else either. Everyone starts there, when kissing someone requires snatching time from real life, probably secrets, either from parents or teachers, maybe even friends.
Try and remember the rush of the sensation, heart racing, flesh pressed against yours, the thrill of it all. Not just your first kiss or even your first ten but all the kisses leading up to that greater milestone. I honestly believe that if all of us grownups could try and recreate that excitement and the closeness of just making out with your SO (significant other) we might get to a better place.
I was recently faced with having just enough time for something rushed and un-romantic or choosing to spend that time talking, kissing and connecting. I chose the kissing and felt like I was filled with champagne bubbles for the rest of the day and most of the next. It was nostalgic how fun it was just kissing.
I would suggest to anyone who is either at the scheduling-sex phase of their relationship or the holding-out-to-check-that-he-respects-you phase a steamy make out session might help. The kiss could act like Cinderella's glass slipper, letting you know who's a fit for your libido and your life.
